Worrying has taken up too many of my precious moments on this planet. We truly only have one life in this body and any second I spend worrying is a second I take away from leaning into the beauty of life.
Now does this mean I will never worry again. NO WAY!
But what it does mean is that I am more aware of how much worrying about the future or how something is going to happen or not going to happen does not serve me or others.
So here are some tips that have drastically been helping me lean into my power during this very transitional very up in the air period of my life.
Remember your life is not about you. Take the focus off of you, how your career is going to pan out, what people will think of you, what will happen for you, what will be you joy, what will you look like, will you look like a crazy person and put all that energy onto how can you add value to the world. Adding value does not have to be crazy like creating a company that employee three million people it can be as easy as giving love and kindness to all you meet.
Meditate. Whenever I was feeling anxiety or overthinking a situation I would drop everything if I could and go meditate for fifteen minutes. It helps our nervous system calm and get into a receiving mindset.
Do some sort of movement that gets you in a flow. It could be cooking to music, dancing, walking, running, riding a bike or anything physical. Many studies have found that people who are in flow more of their life feel happier.
Watch a video that makes you laugh or find some way to laugh. It breaks our thought patterns and is super fun.
Journal out anything that you are feeling and then go move your body. Just free write. Write your fears and ask is this true? Write what you love about life and what brings you joy. (BTW are you doing the things that you write down you love?)
Overall we want to break our patterns when we begin to go into these mindsets. it may seem like we are in a hole of anxiety and worry. Believe me I understand this all too well but sometimes just sometimes there are tools we can use to get us to a different place and learn a lot about ourselves but more on that next time.
Sending you lots of light and love!
